Sunday, February 05, 2006 A Test Of Memory Capacity?
Exams exams exams, what do they do? What's their purpose? Perhaps it is to stretch and challenge our memory capacity. Indeed, it does seem that way. General Paper and Mathematics papers are tomorrow and all I've been trying to do all night is to remember facts and formulae. WAIT! Before you people start saying stuff like "Its all your fault, you should have started earlier.", maybe I should first state that these very formulae trying to implant in my head are supposed to be give during the exam! On the Formula list! Well maybe not all, but whatever little help is still help isn't it?
But Noooooo, the Mathematics department just have to make our lives less pleasant by refusing to provide us with the Formula List, making weak claims like how it's better to memorise the formulas and whatnots. Well, what the hell for? At the end of the day during the A's, we'll still be provided with the list, so what's the point in making us memorise it now and let all that brain space go to waste? Better understanding through mutual interaction eh? Well, formula list or not, I'm pretty much screwed. This Mathematics thing isn't exactly my cup of tea, but well, Mathematics' compulsory for the Science course, so i supposed we can't have the best of both worlds. I'll just sit through it with what little knowledge I got and hopefully scrap a pass? What sucks is we can only get our grades through our parents. Sigh. Oh well, bed.
