Dreams. What are they and what causes them? What's their purpose? Been having tons of weird dreams lately (Note: I almost never dreamt in the past 5 years of my life). There's 1. Ambulance hijack, 2. Cockroach plague(as in a disease), 3. Cheese VS Humans 4. Flying ships and sailing planes.
To explain them, for Dream 1, all i can say is that who the hell would hijack an ambulance? They're tools of life-saving and to hijack one is a display of un-humaneness that even the worst criminals would not have, and to add on that an ambulance has no object of value. Furthermore, in that dream, the hijackers went on a killing rampage in their vehicle. Ironic eh? Then in Dream 2, the cockroaches were on the loose, get bitten and u become one. Well it's just weird, something like Resident Evil (Insectised?). In Dream 3, as the name suggests, cheese of all kinds (yes, that tasty blue/green/yellow foodie that goes well with burgers) walk the Earth, and in this case, we humans are the underdogs and there's human processing plants and such to produce human products. Lastly, in Dream 4, it was basically the re-enactment of Pearl Harbor(Credits to Pearl Harbor the movie), instead, there were Japanese flying boats attacking Pearl Harbor and her various war planes(shouldn't it be called Airbase o_o). But these planes were sailing. Its pretty funny in a sense cause those "flying ships" had wings. Yes, wings that flap and are covered with feathers and the "sailing planes" had spouts(Yes you could see them exhaling like whales.) So the question goes, what are dreams? Are they signs showing the future? Bad omens? Or just random stuff that pops into our brain while we sleep? What causes them? Stress? Lack of sleep? Severe lovelorn-ness? Too much caffeine? Or maybe a combination of all? What purpose then, do these dreams serve? It is said that all dreams are the result of your brain refreshing it's memories, or that thoughts of the events before bed causes it, that its simply the brain reading its banks and banks of memories. Perhaps it is true as Dreams 2 and 4 do have some relation to what i was doing before bed(Studying Genetics and watching Pearl Harbor respectively). If so, what then is the cause of Dreams 1 and 3? Are they predictions of the future? That somewhere in the near future, there will be an ambulance hijack followed by a killing spree(or something along those lines). Though it is highly unlikely that cheese will ever dominate humans, but perhaps it is warnings of some future virus or bacteria that will kill off all humans through the spread of dairy products. Perhaps I'll look more into this issue of dreams after my exams, but meanwhile, it is something to think about. Bye
